Antique 1881 Chromolithograph Bulldogs Original Vincent Brook Day & Son
This wonderful antique matted chromolithograph was taken from Cassell's Illustrated Book of the Dog, c. 1881, illustrated by Vero Shaw and lithographed by Vincent Brooks Day and Son. The litho measures about 10 3/4" by 8 1/2". With mat the measurements are 11 1/4" by 13".  Overall condition for the print is very good. There is a smudge on the word Doon (as seen in th pictures). The dogs are named at the bottom---"Doon Brae(dog on left), the property of Capt G H Woldsworth, "Smasher"(dog on right), Property of Mr Alfred Benjamin. The colors are very bright.
